In addition to the Institute for linguistic research of the Hungarian Academy and the Croatian Language Technologies Society, HR-CLARIN successfully co-organised the Workshop on Language and Language Models (WoLaLa2026) (https://wolala.nytud.hu/), held in Dubrovnik from 12 to 13 October 2026. A significant number of experts in linguistics, information sciences and computing participated in the event, and the main topics of the presentation were large language models, cultural and linguistic perspectives of the use of LLMs, applications and best practices, bridging between different disciplines.

HR-CLARIN successfully participated in the organization of the conference ‘New Trends in Translation and Interpreting Technology’ (NeTTIT’2026), which took place in Dubrovnik from 24 to 27 June 2026. The conference was attended by a large number of experts in the field of translation, both from science and the private sector, which opened up numerous topics on how the academic world and the real sector can complement each other.

In a series of webinars aimed at students and researchers in the humanities, the third CLARIN-DiaRes to CROATINA webinar on diachronic language resources was held on 13 May 2026. The webinar was hosted by Eva Pettersson from Uppsala University. She spoke about the design of a diachronic corpus of the Swedish language and the challenges they faced.
